Knowing the value of His blessing on our lives

 This may sound light and insignificant, but many wonder in their hearts and quietly ask “What will I gain chasing after God? 

Is it just so that I do not go to hell on the last day or does it hold any other  advantage for me  in this present world and in my present situation ?’’ Yes, pursuing God is not just to avoid the calamity of hell fire , it is the way of  life, a way unto living  a life that is full of life. To walk uprightly and to be victorious all through our pilgrimage in this world, we must seek to walk with God in an ever growing, sustainable intimacy. All other blessedness flows from it.

For the lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalms 84:11)

This is one thing we cannot speak exhaustively about here .the Lord God is a Sun that gives light and life. All genuine energy on earth derives entirely from Him. He is the source of all good things that both man and animals enjoy. He is also the shield that covers us from the scorching heat. He is the cover over our heads. He is the Shield that keeps us from the fiery darts of the enemy. 

He gives grace which is the present help and even the heavenly bliss and fulfillment. There is no good thing that God withholds from those who walk uprightly with and before Him. It is interesting to know this all the time. If there is anything that God withholds from me, it is clear that it is not good thing for me at the moment or the right time for it has not come. Yet to experience the sun of righteousness rising upon me for life, for refreshing and for impartation, He is still the shield of my life from the scorching heat , His glory cloud was over the children of Israel in the day and the pillar of fire was over them in the night to give  them light for their journey. I long to dwell daily under the sun and yet in the shield of His grace and glory.
